Arthur Wilson visits John Nixon 1870s???

Family lore tells a story that Arthur Wilson, age about 10, came from London UK, to visit his uncle John Nixon in St John for about 2 years in the mid 1870s. There is even a record, in the Daniel Johnson newspaper archive, of a fellow named Arthur Wilson arriving in St. John in September 1875, but no idea of age or anything else.
Any suggestions as to where any more information to confirm this story might be found would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
