Hello Debra:

You might be interested in the foll. new info:

In 1918 Nicolas Galipeau ,widower of ROsanna Carry (??spelling) married Marie Hudon dit (aka) Beaulieu (widow of Azarie lafleur in Montréal , St.Pierre-Apotre parish.

Now some new facts:

marriages of children of Nicolas Galipeau and RosannaCarey:

a. Léo
M1: Marie-Anna Dufault
M2: Germaine Albertine Émond, 31 Oct 1942, Montréal, St-Enfant-Jésus parish.

b. Roland, married Marie-Anna Giguere 4 Jan 1936, Montréal, St-Vincent de Paul.

c. Ulric, Married Juliette Desjardins 3 Sep 1927, Montréal, La Nativité d'Hochelaga.

marriage of children of Nicolas and Marie Hudon dit Beaulieu:

a. Camille married Georgette Girard, 28 Sep 1946, Montréal, St-Denis Parish.

N.B. I have a note either for Leo at the time of his 2nd marriage or for Roland at the time of his marriage which indicates that the groom was from Cohoes, NY (if this is important to you I could re-check this info).

I have looked at the Lovell's directory for Montreal and that in

1909: a Nicolas Galipeau was said to be a laborer living at 70 Desjardins St.

1910: Nicolas Galipeau, machinist, living at 353 LaSalle Avenue.

Likely to be the same person and these two streets are parallel and next to each other. They appear to be located in what used to be Hochelaga or Maisonneuve.
Therefore, Leona would have been bapt. in that area; probably La Nativite d'Hochelaga.
