Hello Jean-Marie,Thank you so much for your efforts to help.I know that Nicolas and Rosanna were both born in Bennington, VT.I found them as a married couple on the 1900 U.S. census in Massechusetts, Worcester. It states that they had been married for "0" years, so am assuming they had just gotten married in 1900 then went to Massechusetts.By the next U.S. census in 1910 they would have already been in Montreal and this is the year Leona was born, on 24th of February.
Muriel's information I believe is correct as I know it.Rosanna died in Montreal sometime after Leona was born in 1910 and when Nicolas remarried in 1918 to Marie Hudon. They then had two boys Camille and Marcel.According to my mother-in-law (Leona's daughter), this would be the correct age for them also.
I have a note written about a "Rose Anna Galipeau" who was born in 1874 (possibly correct corresponding to census ages) who died 10 Oct 1910 then it says "Ham-Nord, Centre du Quebec".What does that mean?Does that help in narrowing down a place where I can get a death certificate or obituary?
Deb
