Thank you for responding to my query. From Ernest's obit, in part it states "Mr. Bomhower was born in St. Remi, Quebec April l, l859..." Death records in NH didn't require parents names to be listed after l924. The obit does state that he was survived by one sister "Mrs. Peter Louger", and from research I've done, determined this to be Caroline Bomhower Lazure, daughter of John Bomhower & Domitille (Matilda) Rousseau. I am just trying to determine if he is indeed the son of John & Domitille. I do know that John Bomhower was b. l3 Jun l8l2 in St. Constant, Napierville, Quebec, church records has surname as "Bombhower". He was bapt 8 March l824 Hemmingford Presbyterian Church. He married 6 Feb l844 in St. Remi Catholic Church, St. Remi, Napierville, Quebec, Domitille (Matilda) Rousseau b. l7 Oct l822 in St. Remi, Napierville, Quebec. The birth of their first 4 children l84l - l850 appear to have taken place in St. Remi as well. John was the son of Walter Bomhower b. ca l776 in US who married l6 Nov l787 St. Hyacinthe, Quebec, Sarah Sawyer. Walter was the son of Jacob Baumhauer b. ca l722 in Schwabisch, Gmund, Wuerttemberg, Germany. Have also seen the Bomhower name spelt as "Boomhower".
If Caroline (Bomhower) Lazure is indeed his sister, it appears her husband Peter aka Pierre Lazure was the brother of Ernest's wife Elizabeth (Lazure) Bomhower. From her obit, in part it states "Mrs. Bomhower was born at St. Remi, P.Q. in l864. In l88l she was married to Ernest Bomhower in Montreal, P.Q." Outside of surviving children, it doesn't specify surviving members of her family, but does list many friends/relatives, including again "Peter Laugier and his daughter Carrie Laugier", Napoleon Lauzre, Romeo Lazure. If she is the sister of Pierre/Peter then I suspect her parents are Pierre Lazure and Domitille Gervis.
That is why was hoping to find something on marriage, which might actually state who the parents of these individuals were.
Thank you again for your time. It is greatly appreciated.
