DOUGHERTY 1840-56
Posted by: Skip Dacy Date: May 08, 2000 at 05:58:09
  of 1963

I am looking for information on the family of Patrick & Julia (Gleason) DOUGHERTY who immigrated to Canada in ~1840 with their family. They had at least two sons with them from Tipperary, Michael b.1832 and John B.1837. Michael married Winnifred CAIN at St. Jean sur Richleau in Montreal according to my records. But I can't seem to find this location. Could someone direct me to the appropriate archdioses for the marriage information? Also, where should I look for census records? I am just starting to search in Canada, thus, quite nieve on Canadian research.

please contact me at skpdacy@aol.com
