Hi Sarah,
I wish I could help you with the Hamiltons. That is the part of my family that I am having the most trouble with. I don't have any paper work on the Hamiltons other than my Mum and her mum. My Granddad Robert Henry Hamilton is the mystery. He married my Grandmom Gertrude Farrell and had 5 children. They lived in different areas of Montreal. I don't know if my Granddad had any sibling or who his parents are. There was some talk in the family that the Hamiltons had relations in Glengary Ontario. There is also a story of two castles, one Irish and one Scotish. The parents of both sides told the couple that should they marry, they would be disowned, so they married and came here. I am still in the process of putting things together. One of my cousins is named after the two families somehow, he was name Bruce Balford.
