Dear Carolyn,

Posting you a heartfelt and very tardy THANK YOU(somehow your reply didn't get into my email box so only just found it!)for the amazing work you have done on behalf of my family tree. I really do appreciate how much time you must have put in here!

I am delighted to know that Miriam returned to the UK on the Ship Scythia in 1953 to the address where her mother had lived. I sense her return to the UK must have been leading up to or after the death of her mother Margaret Hoare.I can now at least go digging for a death date for Maragaret Hoare that might match near or in 1953, so thank you for that.

My interest in Miriam (and Thomas Robinson Spencer) is mostly that Miriam was a half sister to my grandfather John Webb (who was born to Margaret Webb illegitamately when she was a domestic cook in Islington in 1904 before she met and married Richard Hoare in 1906)and am still hopeful that she and Thomas Robinson Spencer might have had a child together in Canada that I might be related to.

Thank you again, you are now one of my 'genealogy angels'.
