Hi Don,
I'm glad I could help, but would have been nice to find where John and Nina married.
As to websites, I use ancestry.com a lot - I have had a subscription to it for years and found tons of info there. The have the Drouin collection for searching in Quebec, but I think as Nina was either only visiting there when she died or considered American her death did not seem to get recorded in that database - so good thing she was recorded in the American's abroad database. I still wonder where John died and when?
Since Nina and George divorced in 1930 she would have married John after that date, and since the WW11 draft card for 1942 shows next of kin for John as his father, and not as Nina I suspect they married after that time. So that could be anywhere - except that her Sangdahl children seem to have stayed in OH so I think she would also have been there at least while they were young.
I also use familysearch.org which is free and is always adding new info. You might want to see if you can find anymore on Nina's families there.
Do you know if she had any children with John Bates?
I don't know if you have any family from Scotland, but if so, scotlandspeople.gov.uk is great - it does cost, but not that much and I have found a lot on my ancestors.
Wow, this gets ,more interesting all the time. I gave you the death for George S. Sangdahl from 2010, but it did not say where he died. I just googled the name and he died right here in Vancouver, where I live!!

I found this obit athttp://www.legacy.com/obituaries/dailyherald/obituary.aspx?n=george-stanley-sangdahl&pid=142539559http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/dailyherald/obituary.aspx?n=george-stanley-sangdahl&pid=142539559
Notice it says he has a sister Jean Sangdahl, and was predeceased by his parents George and Nina, and brother Robert and sister Janice.
I suspect the sister Jean is the Sarah Jean who was informant at Alice's death - which makes it likely that both Jean and Janice were daughters of George and Alice. Its too bad the obit does not say where all these living relatives of his actually live. I wonder if any of them are in Vancouver??
Amazing what you can find by googling. I googled Robert F. Sangdahl and found a Class of 1945 gift reportfor 2009-2010(for prior students) in which there is a Patricia Sangdahl listed - widow of Robert F. Sangdahl so I guess this was his second wife.
You can see this at:http://www.kenyon.edu/x52409.xmlhttp://www.kenyon.edu/x52409.xml
if you google Jean Sangdahl + Vermont her name comes up for the Central Vermont Dressage Assn.and if you keep looking down the pages on google you will see more on her including her email address
She was still living as of 2011 and likely still so now.
I also googled Janice Sangdahl and there is one who was born 1933, died 1977 - age 44
From ancestry.com I found
She is also in a passenger list going to Hawaii in 1956
and in a US directory listing for Manhattan, NY1960
and in 1953 going to Bermuda from NY - beside her name it says Ohio so maybe that is where she was born

More googling , more info!!If you google Lauritz Sangdahl (name of George's father) there is a writer up on him at
