He emmigrated from Canada to Tiffin, Ohio in 1874 and died there in 1939. His wife was a woman named Rose (married 1880), who was born in Pennslyvania. His religion was a protestant and I think more specifically presbyterian (I think).

I am actually trying to track down who is parents were, which is why I am trying to get a birth certificate. It is possible the death cert is incorrect, I do know from teh US census records that he is listed as being born in "French Canada". My cousin believes he may be the son of Andrew Tolmie, who lived in North Bruce, Southampton, Ontario.
