I wonder if anyone can help me . I am trying to find the following information.
My great uncles Robert Sharpe and Walter Sharpe were sent to Canada from Christ Church children's home = 26 Kings Mount in Birkenhead, England. I believe Robert arrived in May 1909 (aged 14/15) and his brother Walter in April 1920 (14/15) leaving their 2 older sisters behind in England. We understand their mother, Elizabeth Sharpe, came to Canada also but I cannot find her on any of the passenger lists in Ancestry or other websites. I do have a very old photograph of the lady we assume to be Elizabeth Sharpe and will happily upload it if it is possible to see if anone recognises her or the other people on the photograph or even where it might have been taken. We are still trying to find out exactly how the separation came about as the sisters were living with Elizabeth's sister in the 1911 Census and Elizabeth SHarpe was also still in Birkenhead at that time. I have no idea where Elizabeth Sharpe lived in Canada although I know Walter her son did live in Montreal. I cannot find her death entry either. She was born in 1862 so she would have been a fairly old immigrant. Can anyone advise where I might look for more information? This mystery has been puzzling our family for years!Yours hopefully
