In the 1901 census Mary McArthur, Head, is widow, she is listed with her 4 children. Same for 1911. They are living in Glengarry ON in 1901 and 1911.
I've found on the marriage of Hugh McArhur and Mary Derby.
Hugh (58y) b. 1828 Martintown, d. 1891-1901; (Christie McEwan & Donald McArthur) m. 2 Oct 1886 Breadalbane,ON Mary Derby (37) b. 1849 East Hawkesbury, ON (Charles Derby & Kate Dewar)
Hugh is widow, farmer in Lochiel
Mary is also residing in Lochiel
Witnesses: Janet B. McLaurin of Lochiel and Mrs D. McDiarmid of Lochiel
Registered October 2nd 1886, Breadalbane; Baptist Parsonage
Hugh is roman catholic and no religion mentioned for Mary.
Death of Mrs Hugh McArthur nee Mary Derby, widowed. 11 April 1913 447 Moreau Street, Montreal. Birth 1850; Father Derby; Mother Kate McClure (Dewar at Mary's marriage). Died of tuberculose (10 months); certified by Alfred Twigley 447 Moreau, Montreal April 12 1913
