Thank you so much for taking the time. We're fairly certain Nicolas and Elizabeth were married in Canada (we have a date of Jan. 15, 1826) since both were from Boucherville and their first two sons were born in Chateaugay, Quebec - Joseph Narcisse July 24, 1837, and Robert R. on April 6, 1907.
Since Elizabeth died young (Sept. 1846 at about age 34) at "Corteau, Canada" with six surviving children, it makes sense that Nicolas would remarry.
But now we have another spouse, and perhaps children that may form another line of inquiry.
Thanks again - any further help on this line or the Narcisse Comeau line would be greatly appreciated. I did find a mention of Narcisse's wife Marinda Turrell in a census of Canada but no other info.
