Hi Muriel
Info from my grandmother states that James McKenzie had a sister who lived next doorin 1900, with this I have chosen one James McKenzie with sister Mary with parents David and Seslie (Leslie?) they were found in the 1901 Montreal census sub district A36 page 4 line 35-42. David is Scotch and Seslie is Irish. I have Seslie born 14 Nov 1844 in Ireland, immigration year 1865. Do not know where in Ireland. Another person found David born c 1847 in the book by Donald Whyte, A Dictionary of Scottish Emigrants to Canada before Confederation Vol 2 1995 page 218 gives date and port of arrival name of ship and other data. She did not give any information only that his name was mentioned. I inquired about buying this book but out of print. Is there any place on line that I could find this infomation.I thought if I could find names of Presbyterian churches in St.Antoine district I might write for records of Births Deaths and Marriages, are any of these records on line? Thank you for any info. If you are looking at my next posting of Surnames McKenzie,Rothwell and Carden you will get out of this line of volunteering. Thanks Burnie
