Hello Dan:

DOBs are very difficult to find for the post 1799 period as there was no provincial birth/baptism registry. Baptism repertories have been produced for a small number of parishes and fewer in Montreal.

If you happen to know the parish where they were baptized, it is helpful. If an index of BMDs were made in the registry at the end of every year, that is also helpful as research does not involve screening every page to find the wanted records.

Jean-Marie (John)
