I dont suppose to ever be able to find this relative, but here goes ,,,,,
I have a similar story for my gr. grandfather George Washington Watson .
All we know is My Grandma says that Gramps father was a run away from the British Army and that He took the firstname and a last name from two soldiers enlisted with him .travelled thru Canada and migrated to upstate Ny just as my other surnames did. had 3 children with my Gr. grandma Ida Britton . then Lived or married a woman nmed Eva and died in Canastota Ny about !942
was said he couldnt get Soc sec in his old age . why? It began 1930 right?
heres another thing that makes his run away story wierd another story was he was found on a doorstep of an orphanage.
Heres another he suppossedly is definetly Fro the Brittish Isle and I'm sure by the way my grandfather was he too must of had that true proper brittish Blood. Even thou he was a mason and farmer he was well dressed and proper position. ( the gentle men Type )
Then Gram and gramp Mom and Dad has told us years ago about Our gr Grandmas sister who also came with him afterwards she was a student at a Distinguished College for Music and played Violin.
He and Ida named there kids Peter Floyd
George Washington Watson, and Bessie Watson
What do you think ? do you think it is possible that ours are one? I beleive that the Strong prominent features of my watsons might help with a photo Check. IF theirs any chance they could be one I have a brother who is willing to do a Dna if its feasible,, thanks for your time Connie
