Jean-Marie,

I was incorrect on the Marie in the 1881 Census. I apologize for having you do that search.

I hoping the following information is what will lead me to my gr grandmother, Marie Lalancette (wife of Alexander Young). The information came from two sources, Daniel Lalancette and Ancestry Library World Tree Project.

World Tree stated Census 1881 place St-Prime, LeDomaine-du-Roy, QC, CAN, Ref Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and Census 1901 place St-Felicien (St-Methode), Le Domaine-du-Roy, QC, CAN, Ref. Gouvernement du Canada, Archives nationales & Automated Genealogy Saint-Methode H(1) Page 9.

Edouard Lalancette, b. abt 8 Sept 1845. Father Abraham Labreton dit Lalancette, b. abt. 1810 and mother Marie-Anne Bergeron b. abt 1811.

Marriage 1. Marie-Louise Potvin, 22 Nov 1870, Roberval, LeDomaine-du-Roy, QC, CAN.

Children:
1. Marie Lalancette b. abt. Oct 16, 1871 Roberval
2. Clementine (Clemence) Lalancette b. abt. 26 Sept 1872, Roberval
3. Alice Lalancette b. 1873, died at Jonquiere 18 April 1929

Marriage 2. Alphonsine Lavoie b. 1 Nov 1852 St. Prime Domaine-du-Roy, QC, CAN
Father Edouard Lavoie abt. 1808
Mother Angele Fortin Abt 1828

Married 14 or 21 May 1877 in St. Prime (near Roberval) Le Domaine-du-Roy, QC, CAN
They moved to Montreal.

Children:
1. Francois Lalancette b. Aug 1880
2. Georges Lalancette b. 28 Feb 1882

Georges - owner of a tavern and a City Councilor for Montreal.
Francois - a bricklayer

The only way I could find out anything about Marie Lalancette was with her marriage to Alexander Young. I don't know how she came to be in Lowell, MA or where she stayed when she originally immigrated. The above information is all new to me.

Thank you,
