Jean-Marie,

Thank you for replying to my post.
According to her marriage certificate, name of parents is listed--Edouard Lalancette and Louise ________(no last name). Her birthplace is listed as Canada. I do not have documention that Three Rivers was her birthplace.

Since my original post re: two step-brothers, I received information about an Edouard Lalancette whose 1st wife was Marie-Louise Potvin. Married 22, November 1870 in Roberval. Marie, born 16 Oct. 1871 at Roberval, was one of three children. Edouard remarried Alphonsine Lavoie 14 May 1877 at St. Prime. They moved to Montreal. They have 2 children: Georges, owner of a tavern and City Councilor for Montreal and Francois a bricklayer.

This Marie Lalancette may possibly be a match. How do I locate information about her birth, information on Marie-Louise Potvin, and information about Georges Lalancette?
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
