Thanks again. I have wondered about the possibility of adoption before. Also, the surname Lamotte dit Normandin was used in Quebec, but I have not found it in the pedigree of Louis Normandin. Michael's church marriage record lists him as the son of Louis Normandin and Judith, but would that necessarily rule out adoption?
