Just for accuracy's sake, Jabez would have been born in Upper Canada -- Ontario was not formed until Confederation in 1867. By 1850, Upper Canada was known as Canada West.

1851 Canadian Census
(actually taken in early 1852; ages given are as of next birthday)

Davidson, Jabez, farmer, born Canada, E. Methodist, aged 34, married
Davidson, Orvilla, born Canada, aged 35, married
Davidson, John P., born Canada, aged 12
Davidson, Ada J., born Canada, aged 10
Davidson, George, born Canada, aged 7
Davidson, Sarah L., born Canada, aged 5
Davidson, Kesiah L., female, born Canada, aged 2

They are still in Leeds in the 1861 with several more children.
