Hi Ken,

I took a look at the marriage record for Flavi and Joseph to see who her parents were to help find her birth.

It looks like their names were Olivier Thibodeau and Helene Renier/Resnier/Bernier

as you can see I am not sure of her mother's maiden name

I looked for marriage of Olivier and Helene and closest I found was a Helene Mercier
Olivier and Helene Mercier married in 1815 in Ste-Marguerite-de-Blairfindie, L'Acaidie

I think this is probably the right couple as

their is a death record for an Olivier Thibodeau, died January 12, 1871 St-Jean Evangeliste, husband of Helene Mercier

Helene Mercier died May 6, the same year, same place

I took a look at the 1880 US census to see Flavi's age so i could try to find a birth for her. She is 54 in 1880 so born about 1826.

I'm still looking for her birth and death but this may be death for Joseph

Massachusetts, Town and Vital Records, 1620-1988 about Joseph V Dupont
Name:       Joseph V Dupont
Birth Date:       abt 1826
Event Type:       Death
Event City:       Lawrence
Death Date:       8 Jun 1898
Death Age:       72
Mother Name:       Celcile Farness

June 8, 1898 Lawrence, MA
The record says Joseph V. Dupont, age 72 years 8 months
died of brights disease
he was a woodworker born Canada
no father's name show, mother shown looks like Caleste/Celeste/Cecile For....

** this does not match with the parents you show but

I looked up Joseph's birth and he is listed as Joseph Vinceslas (so spelled with a V.) , parents Francois Dupont and Celeste Fournier

so the death does seem to fit

Quebec, Vital and Church Records (Drouin Collection), 1621-1967 about joseph Wenceslas Dupont
Name:       joseph Wenceslas Dupont
[Joseph Vinaslas Depont]
[Joseph Vinaslas Dupont]
Event:       Baptême (Baptism)
Baptism Year:       1825
Baptism Location:       L`Acadie, Québec (Quebec)
Place of Worship or Institution:        Ste-Marguerite-de-Blairfindie

** note he was born in the same place that Olivier Thibodeau and wife were married so perhaps the families knew each other before going to St. Jean Evang.

** where did you find his parents names as being Exurie and Marcelline ?? I went back to the marraige for Joseph and Flavie which shows his parents as Francois Dupont and Celeste Fournier

Are you sure about Joseph ending up with a second wife? I ask because Florie Dupont is in 1900 census for Amesbury, Essex, MA
listed as a widow.

Ulric, age 43, farmer, born Sept. 1856 Canada French, parents born Canada French, immigrated 1880, married 12 years

Mary L., age 40, wife, born March 1860 Canada French parents born Canada French, immigrated 1865 , married 12 years, no children

Florie, age 74, widow, mother-in-law, born April 1826 Canada French, parents born Canada French, immigrated 1865, 10 children born, 3 living

one interesting bit - I see in 1880 that Joseph an Flavi had a son Charly age 13, born MA so born about 1867 - I think I found his birth which has father as Joseph Dupont, mother as Mary F. Thibodeau. Joseph listed as cabinet maker

He was born May 19, baptized May 30, 1867 Lawrence, MA

This seems to match up with 1910 where Flavie is listed as Mary F.

Ulric, age 54, woodworker, automobile factory, born Canada French parents born Canada French, immigrated 1881, 1st marriage, married 24 years

Mary L., age 51,wife, born Canada French, parents born Canada French, immigrated 1866, 1st marriage, married 24 years, no children

Mary F., age 84, widow, mother-in-law, born Canada French, parents born Canada French, immigrated 1866, 10 children born 2 living

** In 1920 Flavie is not with her daughter, so I suspect she died between 1910 and 1920

You mentioned finding them in Iberville in 1871 but they are in MA in 1870 which fits with the 1865/186 immigration dates shown for Flavie (I looked for them in Iberville 1871 but did not find them there)

DUPIN (as indexed)(image looks like Dupon)

Joseph, age 44, bobbin maker, born Canada

Mary, age 44, keeping house, born Canada

Delia, Age 21, dresser, born Canada (female)

Odeal, age 18, born Canada (female)

Louisa, age 11, attends school, born Canada

Alvina, age 9, attends school, born Canada

Sophia, age 7, attends school, born Canada

Joseph, age 6, at home, born MA

Charles, age 3, at home, born MA

in 1880 Joseph is shown as born Canada but her born MA

There is a marriage for a Lea Dupont Aug. 22, 1876
parents Joseph and Flavie
she is age 27, so born about 1849
married Julia Francher, age 27 ( I believe it is Jules, not Julia)
his parents shown as Thomas and Belzemire

There is also a marriage for an Edille Dupont June 25, 1871 to Moses Foubert
she is age 21 and in image it looks like Odille
Moses last name hard to read, not sure the index got it right
her parents shown as Vincelas and Flavie (index says Vinselas and Flaire)

I found the family in 1861

Vinceclas, age 36, born Quebec

Flavis, age 34, born Quebec

Leas, age 12, female

Josephine, age 10, female

Odile, age 8 , female

Marie, age 1, female

Orelie, age 26, born Quebec

Elenne, age 21, born Untied States

I am not sure of the name Orelie but that is what it sort of looks like - maybe a brother of Flavie - he is indexed as Nelie and wife listed as Eleme

Also listed in St. Jean are Olivier Thibodeault 69, and wife Ellene Mercier , 64 and daughter Marie Onisime Thibodeault 29

they are listed a few pages away from Flavie and her family
but right next door to Flavia and her family are a family of Mercier people

There is a marriage for an Amelia FAUCHER in 1904 Lawrence, MA to Alexander L. Bourk - her parents Jules Faucher and Lee Dupont
Amelia is shown born Lawrence MA

also a marriage for a Marie Cecil FANCHER to Leonard L. Caron in 1912 - parents Jule Fancher and Lea Dupont
Marie was born about 1886 Lawrence MA

Amelia's birth is also listed - Sept. 19, 1881 Lawrence, MA
parents shown as Julius Fancher and Ellen

I believe Marie Cecil is also lsited as Çelia M. Faucher, born April 9, 1886 Lawrence, MA parents Jules and Delia

I am not having much luck finding the FAUCHER/FANCHER/FRANCHER family in the census, except for finding Jules in 1910 with a mew wife, Emma and daughter Cecilia is with him.

Jules, age 61, wheelright, wheel company, born Canada French both parents born Canada French, 2nd marriage, married 15 years

Emma, age 55, wife, born Canada French, both parents born Canada French, 1st marriage, married 15 years, 1 child born, no children living

Çecilia, age 24, daughter, mending, woolen mill, born MA both parents born Canada French, single

so if the number of years married is correct for Jules and Emma, Lea must have died before 1895

I found marriage for Jules and Emma - they list Jules as Faucher Or Fancher, married Oct. 29, 1894 Lawrence MA to Emma Berthiaums
in this his parents are shown as Thomas and Belzemire which matches with his marriage record to Lee/Lea
it is shown as his second marriage for Jules, 1st for Emma

there is a death for Jules March 20, 1913 Lawrence MA, parents Thomas Faucher and Belzimire Pommerleau
Jules birth shown as July 22, 1848
he died of a strangulated hernia

there is a birth for a Jules Faucher in Lawrence, MA March 27, 1897, father Jules Faucher, mother shown as Matilda - I am not able to see the image as it comes up as an error

I found the death for Lea at

she is listed as Lea Dupont Faucher
She died Nov. 24, 1892 in Lawrence, MA
the index entry shows her parents as Joseph E. and Flavel Theberge

the image says Lea Faucher, M.N. Dupont wife of Jules
age 43, died of bronchitis
she was listed as housekeeper
parents Joseph and Flaviel Therbouge

the writing is not great so I'm sure it is supposed to be Thibodeau

I took another look for birth for Flavie and found her this time

she is listed just as Marie Thibodeau - although image shows Flavie so I suppose whoever did the index did not read the name correctly

Quebec, Vital and Church Records (Drouin Collection), 1621-1967 about Marie Thibodeau
Name:       Marie Thibodeau
Event:       Baptême (Baptism)
Baptism Year:       1826
Baptism Location:       St-Luc, Québec (Quebec)
Place of Worship or Institution:       St-Jean

Image says April 17, 1826 baptism of Flavie , born this day, of legitimate marriage of Pierre Thibodeau and Helene Mercier. Sponsors Jean Baptiste Mercier and Marie Mercier.

** so I suspect that Pierre Thibodeau was named Pierre Olivier as Olivier is his name in Flavie's marriage.

OR I am reading the name Pierre wrong in the birth entry ? could be

I have not been able to find a death record for Flavie in MA

I think this is about all I can find.
