Frederick White 1911 Census Toronto
Posted by: Carol Boggs (ID *****7072) Date: December 17, 2012 at 16:36:19

Frederick Arthur White b. 1883 in Birmingham, England was living in Toronto, Ontario, Canada District 126 at the time of the 1911 census with wife "Becky" Florence Rebecca b. 1885 UK and son Frederick b. Jan 1910, likely in Toronto although that is unknown.

Fred enlisted in the Ambulance Corps in 1914, was injured and hospitalized and returned to Canada in 1919 after war and remained in hospital for long afterward. I would like to know what became of each of these three people in the following years. I believe Fred died there but don't know for certain.

Did Becky remain in Canada or return to Birmingham where her family lived? Did the child Frederick remain in Canada? An uncertain family story has the child emigrating to India but no documentation for this. How can I obtain death records or obituaries? I'm in southern US so access is not simple.

Thanks for your suggestions and assistance.
