I searched the Irish Family History Foundation's database for John Hogan (exact) B 1825 +/- 1 yr. I got 32 hits. None had a middle name listed. Most hits were in Tipperary and Limerick. 8 were in 1824, 11 in 1825, and 13 in 1826. Rcds B4 1840 are iffy; some events were never rcd'd, others have been lost in time.

Suggest you search for obits, headstones, family bibles, etc. to find an exact birth date and/or parish and county. This would reduce your number of hits to a reasonable number.

Anne Donovan's parents were likely Irish immigrants. Her obits or headstone may give you clues to their place of origin.
