George and Mary are my great great grandparents. Their daughter Margaret and Alexander McDonald( my great grandparents) married October 7,1873 at Strathroy,ON. I have found very little about George and Mary. He was born about 1821 in Scotland. She was born about 1831(or 1821-depending which source you believe)in Ireland and immigrated in 1839 at age 18. I have not found anything with her maiden name on it but it may have been Shannon. Their other children were John, William, Hugh, Catherine and George, born between 1857 and 1866. I would like to find when and how they came to Ontario, if they were accompanied by parents or siblings, where they met and married and where they came from in Scotland and Ireland. If anyone knows anything of this family, I would love to hear from you. I can share more recent history of Donald and Margaret's family.
