Hi Chris, This is my first time finding Genform and was surprised to see Gonyea/La Plant union My name was La Plante. MyDad was Edward Leo La Plante and MY Mother was Marion Gonyea. Both were from the Malone N.Y. area. I just started working seriously on our Gonyea geneology as I am retired and can now spend time doing it. My Grandparents on the Gonyea side were also from Malone, but I believe from what I have found so far the ancestors came over from France. Let me know about what union you are working on. maybe we can help each other. Sincerly Shirl
