Peter Mayo/Madeleine Ursula Greneau Mayo immigrated France/Canada/US 1834

I'm looking for the town in Normandy, France that Peter Mayo, b.abt 1812 and his wife Madeleine Ursula Greneau Mayo b.abt 1812 emigrated from in abt. 1834. We believe they came into this country through Canada and settled in the West Mifflin area of what is now Allegheny County, PA. They had 7 children, the oldest of whom, Francis b.1835, married Margaret Jane Large 1840-1907.

Any information would be greatly appreciated. Or if you have any ideas on where to go, that would be a big help as well. I've hit a brick wall. I've found him as Pier Miho in the 1840 census, but I can find nothing to trace him back further. The Allegheny County Library does not have a death notice for him.
