Dear Ken:

My G. Grandfather and one of his daughters came via steamboat to Manitoba from Minneapolis or N. Dakota - not sure. The daughter was a great Aunt and I recall her telling me they took the train and then the boat down the Red River. The rest of the family came later when the Railway was through to Manitoba. Not sure where the train connections were made. Must have been a train from Toronto or ? to U.S.

Lauraine
