TOVEY FAMILY
Posted by: Barbra Pappas (ID *****2823) Date: September 10, 2002 at 11:09:58

As a desendant of Jonah Tovey [my great grandfather], I am looking for any information that will help me trace he and his wife Elizabeth Bowdich back to England and Wales. They were married in Newport M, Wales in 1871. They imigrated to Youngstown, Ohio then Braidwood, {Joliet} Illinois before coming to Manitoba in 1905. I have a copy of the "Darlingford Saga" and it has a little info. I would like to know dates of death or anything else that will help me trace them. I'm not sure if they are buried in Darlingford or Thornhill cemeteries. Also any info on sons William, Alfred & James and where daughter Mary is buried would be appreciated. I have vague idea as to the where abouts of other children Charles,Mark,Maude,Elizabeth,Jane & my grandmother Esther. What I really need is info on Jonah and Elizabeth so as to trace family in UK. Thanks, Barbra Pappas
