My great grandfather was Samuel William Kendall who married Marguerite Victoria Robinson Dec. 12,1893 in Deloraine, Manitoba Canada, we believe in the Methodist Church. I've written the United Church Archives in Winnipeg, Manitoba but they have no record of this marriage at all. Here is what I have - I'd greatly appreciate any help at all: Samuel William Kendall was born about 1869 in Deloraine, Manitoba or possibly Detroit Michigan? and married Margaret Victoria Robinson, born 1873 in Clarendon Ontario. Margaret died in 1909 of typhoid fever and was buried in Napinka, Manitoba. Samuel Kendall married Marguerite Victoria Robinson b May 1868 d Sept 28, 1908 married Dec. 12,1893 in Deloraine, Manitoba Canada. They had six children Arthur, Hattie, Vera twins Jeannie and William. After his wife's death Samuel Kendall left and the children went to various family members of his wife's. People did hear from him from time to time but would never talk about him. We know that he went to Detroit and was a salesman in the aluminum business. We also know that he had a sister but do not know her name either. We believe he passed away in the 50's or 60's but are not sure. Aunt Maude Kendall heard that after Marguerite's death Sam went back down to Detroit to live with his 1st old sweetheart, not sure if they ever married but doesn't think so. His last correspondence home was in 1928 - a small Christmas card "From Dad with Best Wishes for the New Year". Address written as S.W. Kendall 2831 Grand River Avenue, Detroit Michigan. On the envelope was: Grand Emmons & Co. Newark, New York State - "High Grade Nursery Stock". Mailed with a 2 cent stamp. Thanks so much, Lois - Saskatchewan, Canada Notify Administrator about this message?
