Thanks, Heather, but I really don't know all that much.

I have found out tons about my Donald ancestors, but still no connection to Pilot Mound. My great-auntie told me that William (my ancestor), Peter and Archie were brothers who came to Canada from Blairgowrie, Scotland, where they were weavers. One ended up in Owen Sound and one in Pilot Mound (and my branch came to Alberta).

Well, they were weavers, and they were from Rattray (about 250 meters away from Blairgowrie). But the Peter and Archie that Auntie knew were William's nephews, not his brothers. He was one of 10 children who immigrated to Canada from Scotland along with their parents. We've managed to track down most of the 10, but not all of their children.

So I really don't know WHO ended up in Pilot Mound, but since Auntie had the names right on Owen Sound, and the nephews, I suspect that some Donald there is or was related to this huge clan.

Thank you for your offer, though. You are most generous. I just can't think to tell you what to look for!!

Meg
