Researching the family of William and Mary Ann(nee Kemp)Cross. He was Railway Mechanical Superintendant for the GTR in Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1894, and was also assistant to Sir William Whyte for many years. The Crosses had four daughters Annie, Eleanor, Celia and Lillian, and one son James who became a doctor. All children except Lillian were born in Montreal (1869 - 1879). Lillian was probably born in Winnipeg. The Cross family also had a fruitfarm/ranch in Summerland, B.C..
