Henry John WRIGHT London/Winnipeg 1904
Posted by: Jean WRIGHT Date: June 30, 2001 at 21:17:08
  of 1701

We believed that grandfather Henry John Wright emigrated to Canada c1899 in search of work as a compositor/printer, leaving his wife and four children in London. Recently finding him on Ellis Island web site aged 35 a compositor en route to Winnipeg in August 1904 has confirmed this for us and as well a photo we have of a gentleman taken by the Berlin Portrait Co in Winnipeg is probably of him. His wife and family remained in London, but nothing further is know of our grandfather.Did he divorce and remarry in Winnipeg? Did he die in Winnipeg? Any info concerning him would be greatly apreciated.
