That wasn't very nice of you - here you call her "stupid" for reacting the way she did to people's hate mail, which some might agree with you that she over-reacted (but then we don't know the whole story do we) and then you turn around and start condeming Canada for how tight they are with their records. You call her stupid then put Canada down. No wonder why she feels the way she does with responses like yours. I don't blame her, if your response is just a tiny bit of what she had to do I would have reacted the same - especially being called "stupid", I think that was a little over the line from you.
