if you pull out a map of Manitoba you will find Elkhorn about 150 miles west of Winnipeg just before the MB/SK boarder. The railway goes through town, CNR I believe(or is it the CPR..??). Binscarth is maybe abt. 50 miles north of Elkhorn.. I would be surprized if the railway you refer to ever went to Elkhorn, MB.... but I couldn't say for sure.
