1882 Great Flood, St. Jean Baptiste
Posted by: Lyn Sinnema Date: August 08, 2000 at 20:44:29

Does anyone know anything about a Great Flood in 1882 near St. Jean Baptiste? One of my lines has this story, and many of my lines went from Manitoba to ND in 1882, as well as hordes of other Canadians, previous province unknown. Why would so many people leave Canada that particular year? The flood is the only clue I have and I can't find info on it. Lyn
