You would need to confirm Israel's parents from his marriage record. However, with the info William gave you from the census, the couple was Antoine Duval and Henriette Bernard who married 20 Aug 1850 Contrecoeur, Vercheres, Quebec.

A check of the 1901 Census for Manitoba showed only one couple old enough to have been Devina's parents. The couple was Antoine Sarrasin and Victoire Pepin dit Lachance.
