ILNICKI/ILNICKA in Winnipeg 1913-1921
Posted by: Bonnie Madsen (ID *****6387) Date: April 14, 2009 at 02:19:06
  of 1701

I'm trying to get more info on EMIL ILNICKI who immigrated to Winnipeg in 1913 from Poland (at that time Austria). He apparently came to live with his brother and work for the Canadian Pacific Railway. After WWI Emil's wife and daughter joined him there. Wife's name was Feliksa (also spelled Felixa) Ilnicka and daughter was Marya (Mary), they came over in 1921.

I have some conflicting dates for Emil as he lived in Banning and also Barwick, Ontario. I'm not sure what Emil's brother's name was, possibly Jozef or Karol...but those are just shots in the dark, I have no info whatsoever on that. Also Emil had a sister in Winnipeg named Mrs. Kenal.

If you have any info or access to info for the ILNICKI/ILNICKA family in Winnipeg during this time please contact me.
Thanks,
Bonnie
