Melvin Robert Brady

Looking for any information on Melvin Robert Brady, born between 1908 and 1918, lived in Winnipeg Manitoba in the late 1940's. Melvin is my maternal grandfather, and we have very little information on him as he left shortly after my mom was born.

We were told that he was born in Alberta and his parents are of Irish descent (possibly new immigrants).

We were also told that he served in the Canadian Armed Forces but then discharged for unknown reasons. Story has it also that he was an avid gambler and enjoyed horse racing in particular.

I can provide a photo of Melvin, taken about 1947 in Winnipeg on Smith Street. If there are any Brady's out there who may have some information on Melvin it would be greatly appreciated!
