It looks like Asel was in MB in 1901 although his name is spelled Arel
subdistrict: Dufferin, Lisgar

So the marriage should be in Manitoba on would imagine, unless they did something like went to N. Dakota to marry. At any rate, I can't find it either.
It also looks like he died shortly afterward, because "Emma" is listed as Jessie in the 1911 census in Kamloops but is widowed and with her sons.
