Spanish influenza suggests 1918-1919. A genealogy search of the Manitoba Vital Statistics… http://vitalstats.gov.mb.ca/Query.php finds the death of a George Percival Gibson 21/03/1919, age 32, in Odanah, and his marriage, also in Odanah, to Beatrice Harris 11/01/1919. A search of the 1901 Census suggests that he might be Percy G. Gibson, born April 7, 1886, s/o Wm & Hannah Gibson, living in Osnabruck, Cornwall & Stormont, Ontario. In 1911, this family and Percy (25) are found in Cornwall, Stormont, Ontario. Farran’s Point was a small village, flooded when the St Lawrence seaway went thru in 1958.
