William and Daisy Constable
Posted by: Helen Turner (ID *****1612) Date: July 03, 2007 at 07:33:20

Hi,

Can anyone help me? I am trying to find out information on my 2x great uncle William Constable. He was born in Eastbourne, Sussex England in 1884. Although he claims to have been born on the 30th Aug 1885.

He was sent to Canada as one of many Home children. I do not know with which organisation he was sent but I do know that he came out on the SS Laurentian. Leaving Liverpool on the 15th Nov 1894 and arriving Halifax on the 26th Nov 1894. He was being sent on to Toronto Ontario.

He appears on the 1901, 1906 and 1911 censuses.

I know that he returned to England and served during the First World War.

It is what happened to him after this that I do not know. He returned to Canada, I believe and to Ontario. Possibly Souris. He was married to Daisy.

Does anyone know if he had family? When did he died?

Any information would be gratefully recieved.

I can take you back many generations.

Thank you.
