Ok, I'm know I probably do not have the correct spelling. Please help. Our ancestor BETSY from what we have is from Yakima, Yakama tribe, and her last name was written out like the first two in the subject line. She married Robert Logan b. 1818, from Canada, employed with the Hudson's Bay Company. Their daughter, or Amelia, or Emily, married Adolphus Carstens. Their marriage is in the Clark County WA 1877 Marriages book in Fort Vancouver Regional Library. Amelia owned a lot of property in Vancouver near the Courthouse but all docouments burned up. That's one story anyway.
The next name is from our line of Joseph St. Martin. b. 1784 m. Chinook Woman or from the subject line above- Femme Autochtone (French- Woman of the Country) We've been told she is Chinook, but we are wondering if maybe she was from the Ojibway tribe instead. They had a daughter Genevieve b. 1814. Joseph was also involved with the HBC. We would like to find out about the two women, Betsy & Femme.
