No I don't live near Inglis, I just saw your post and checked my favorite geographical search engine:

http://www.multimap.com/world/places.cgi

I found the information on the population of Inglis by searching the internet. I came across a government document on agriculture with the figure 197 for the village of Inglis.

Have you tried searching the 1901 census for Mary? Now that you know where the town was, it should be quite easy to determine where to look on the census.
