Mary McPHEE - McLEOD - Nova Scotia > Pennsylvania > Kaslo
Posted by: Amber McLeod (ID *****6500) Date: June 08, 2004 at 18:43:57

Searching for information on:

b. 1860, Canada (prob. Nova Scotia)
m. abt 1876/7 to Alexander McLEOD (b. 1952, Scot / d. bef 1916)
d. aft 1937 (prob. Canada)

Tommie McLEOD 1877 Canada
Florence McLEOD 1880 Canada
Gertrude McLEOD ? ?
Catherine McLEOD ? ?
Albert Allen McLEOD 10 Mar 1888 Erie, Erie, PA
m. Sarah Eleanor PHILLIPS 1912, Erie, Erie, PA
Herbert B. McLEOD 1893 Warren, PA (disproved)
m. Victoria SOLIVODA 1916 Erie, Erie, PA

We believe that either after a divorce or being widowed Mary moved to Kaslo, BC. Herbert's marriage certificate of 1916 shows that his mother (Mary) was living in "Castle Bridge Columbia". After checking and finding that there was no such place, I deduced that it must have been what someone thought was said and actually was Kaslo, British Columbia.

I cannot find Herbert or Tommie (Thomas) on the 1910, 1920 or 1930 census for the US. I don't know the girls' married names. I am assuming, for now, that the boys moved to Canada as well. Son Albert Allen is living in Seattle by 1920.

ANY information on MARY MCPHEE or her family/new family would be appreciated.
