Arthur Quigley

I am looking for information about Arthur Quigley. It is believed he left Scotland in the early 1850s, went to western Canada as a miner, and then made his way into Oregon and finally into Washington State. He and his family were recorded in the 1880 census in Clark County, and it may be his son Arthur who married Adda Jervey in Wahkiakum, Washington in 1884.

His descendants may believe he was born in North America and married there, but there is good reason to believe he was Scots by birth and his parents were Irish.

I'd appreciate any information anyone may have that would put in place another piece of this jigsaw.
