Many thanks for your reply, Janet. My Thomas Jennings and family left Pugwash, Nova Scotia in 1884 and went to Vancouver Island. Thomas does not give the names of his family. He does mention four daughters;
1.Sewing for a dressmaker.2.In a millinery store.3. Teaching about 25 miles away. 4.At school. His sons are 1.Working in a sash factory and 2. a labourer.
