Thank you so much Alice - this man is going to be the death of me I think - its a compulsion I know but I am bound and determined to find out where he went and what his story is. I still hope someday to find out more about my grandfather William Maxwell Lundy. He too moved to BC - geez I only made it as far as Alberta so maybe I too have one more move in my life! - anyway no one had ever heard from him since the early 1940's and I was able to find his death notice and get a copy of his will in Victoria when I was there two years ago - but he had apparently lived in BC for some 30 years and left all he owned to a Robert Jackson - no mention made of any of his family in his death notice - except cousins for crying out loud. Anyway....I'll keep searching and in the meantime thank you so much
