BC To Skye

Hi , I am a MacPherson , late of Skye (1840) . I live in BC and I am interested in genealogy so I will try to help you as much as I can . On first look at the resources , there seems to be no obvious Williams herebut maybe with more information , we can track him down

1.When did he come over ?
2. What age would he have been?
3. If an adult, what did he do for a living?
4. Any idea of what he would have done for a living as this gives a big clue in early BC?
5. Was he married ? Was this a case of a "run-away" ?
6.So sorry about so many questions but it does give me and idea of where to look ?
Hope to here from you soon and you can e-mail me privately as it will speed this up .
