I am looking for relatives originally from Lundar Manitoba who lived in Sardis British Columbia at some points in their lives.
The surname could be spelled Eiriksson, Erickson, Erikson or any other common spelling of the name.
Einar Eiriksson was born in Iceland to Jon Eiriksson and Elin Thorsteinsdottir on September 23, 1893. The family came to Canada in 1901 settling in Lundar Manitoba with 2 sons, one daughter and having lost a baby girl on the trip.
Einar married Katrina Gudmundson in 1921, she died after giving birth to Jon Eiriksson in 1922.
Einar then moved west to B.C. Jon was raised by his paternal grandparents Jon and Elin.
Jon was married in Sardis B.C. to Helen (unknown surname) on November 11, 1947. They had at least one son Lloyd. However the family believes there were three sons.
Over the years we have lost contact with the family. My grandmother (Svanborg) was Einar`s sister.
Any information of where the family is now or has been would be greatly appreciated to try and regain contact.
