Nina, if you are in BC, death registrations can be accessed at any library with a microfilm/fiche reader. If your branch doesn't have the reels, they can be borrowed through inter-library loan. Death registrations usually have whatever information was available at the time of death. This can include parent's names, birthdate & place, how long in Canada, how long in BC, etc. Hope this helps.
