1901 census for ATLIN
Posted by: Kathleen Burgar (ID *****1714) Date: September 17, 2012 at 13:29:29
  of 2037

FYI
the original census of Atlin taken in 1901 was lost when the steamer "Islander", taking the info to Victoria, sank. The census was retaken later that year but by then up to 600 people had left the area for the winter.

from Daily Colonist, 6 December 1901, page 1

these 600 people will therefor not be on any census for the year 1901
